PERSUASION AND INFLUENCE A Series of five one day workshops

Go to a crime scene, pick any three witnesses and ask them to describe the criminals. For each criminal you will get three descriptions of different people – one from each of your witnesses. What’s more, from each witness you will get a different version of what happened and a different account of any dialog, yet they were all in the same place at the same time watching the same thing.
Every human being is different. We are unique, we each experience, absorb and process data differently. Our experience and understanding of the world is radically different from each other, to the point where, as Bandler states, if you could experience the world as through someone else’s mind, the experience wuld be far more radical than LSD could ever be.
And yet, we work together, solve problems together and above all else, communicate with each other, but do we actually have the faintest idea what the other person actually means or indeed what they understand from you.
One of the really useful things that you can do with NLP is communicate clearly, accurately and specifically, in a manner that ensures that all parties understand the same thing at the same time. From a business point of view, clear accurate communication of ideas is money in the bank, if oyu have any sense at all.
NLP is the quintessential art and science of communication. By accessing what can, for lack of a more appropriate metaphor, be referred to as the operating system or machine code underlying human communication, it is possible to reduce ambiguity and misunderstanding to a minimum; it is also possible to communicate clearly, effectively and in a manner that is powerfully persuasive.
It is also possible to develop models of excellence and install them on others – for example you could make a model of the creative / problem solving strategies of Einstein and then teach others to use the same strategies in combination with their own creative thinking.
A lot of people would like to make new friends easily and be able to talk effectively so that everyone understands and even appreciates what you are trying to convey.
